- Flour: 2 cup + extra for rolling
- Potato: 3 medium (boiled & grated)
- Avocado: 2 (ripe)
- Ginger: 1/4 inch (grated)
- Cilantro / Dhaniya: a handful
- Lemon juice: 2 tsp
- Green Chili: 1 (finely chopped)
- Vegetable Oil: 1 tbsp + extra for frying
- Garam Masala: 1/2 tsp
- Cumin Seeds: 1 tsp
- Garam Masala: 1 tsp
- Ground Black Pepper: 1 tsp
- Salt (to taste)
Step-1: To prepare the flatbread dough
Add flour in a bowl, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1 tbsp oil. Add mashed avocado. Mix well and add little by little water to form a medium soft dough.
Cover well and let it rest for 30 mins.
Step-2: To prepare the stuffing
Add grated potato in a bowl, add salt, lemon juice, garam masala, and cumin seeds. Mix well and keep it aside. Divide the stuffing into 6 equal parts.
How to roll a flatbread
Divide the dough into 6 equal parts. Take one part of the dough and roll it in a ball shape, add the dry flour on both sides. Using a rolling pin and roll the dough into around 3 inches round.
Add one part of the stuffing and place it on the center of the rolled dough. Cover the potato by bringing sides to the middle. Once the potato is covered with dough, add dry flour on both sides.
Start rolling the stuffed dough with light hands and roll it into around 5-6 inches round.
Add a flat pan/griddle to the medium heat and place the rolled flatbread. Flip the flatbread and add the vegetable oil on both sides and let it crips until golden brown from both sides.
Serve hot with white butter and honey!
